The cottage is owned and managed by the adjacent farm which is well renowned in the area for its superb local produce. This Hampshire cottage is on a quiet single track lane with just a few neighbouring houses, and nestles below Ashford Hangers which covers 323 acres of woodland and beech hanger. A steep climb up the footpath from Poets Cottage and you’ll be rewarded with magnificent views over the surrounding area.
Newly converted accommodation, it’s delightfully spacious with feature windows on the first floor allowing light to flood into the master double and twin rooms. The bedrooms have been thoughtfully furnished and the bathroom even has a luxury roll top bath.
On the ground floor, there is another double bedroom with a modern en-suite wet room shower and a gorgeous open plan living and dining room space with stone tiled floors and a large flat screen TV.
There’s also a small terrace area that catches the morning sun and a rear terraced garden to relax in on sunny afternoons. Poet’s Cottage will suit families and couples alike, a wonderful getaway spot based in rural Hampshire.

Small terrace area in front of main entrance that overlooks the quiet lane. Rear garden has grassed terraces and seating area. Parking area is at the rear of the house shared with owners.
There is stabling for horses available on request.

Perfect break. Photos didn't do the cottage justice. Owners were a bit standoffish and didn't acknowledge you which took the shine off the experience. They had thought of most things and will hopefully improve the quality of products over time.

We had a lovely short break at the cottage and the owners were very friendly and helpful. The property was really nice and in a lovely area. We would definitely stay again.

Stylish, comfortable, clean, bright and airy, excellent equipment, friendly owners. Poor mobile reception could be a problem for some, but internet access was reliable. Don't be put off by the cottage being on a working farm - there was no cock-crow at dawn or other noise (apart from a very welcome tawny owl calling). Would love to go again - says it all!
