Ideally located in the delightful village of Hambledon, a few steps from the traditional store and local inn, this charming holiday cottage is attached to the owner’s Grade II listed Georgian home. Hambledon is set in the heart of the South Downs National Park and is ideal for walkers, cyclists and photographers. It is famous as the ’birthplace of cricket’ and boasts the oldest, commercial vineyard in England. Just 13 miles away are the sea and coastlines of Hampshre and West Sussex, including picturesque Chichester Harbour, the historic dockyards of Portsmouth and the beaches of the Witterings and Hayling Island. Local activities include tennis, golf, fly fishing, shooting, horse riding and gliding. Within easy reach are the Isle of Wight ferry, Winchester Cathedral, The New Forest, the Watercress Line steam train, Jane Austen’s House, Marwell Zoo and Beaulieu Motor Museum. London is about an hour by train from nearby Petersfield. Shop 200 yards, pub and restaurant 400 yards.
