About this property

This fabulous Rye cottage is located in the centre of this historic town with its museums, art galleries and castle all within a few minutes’ walk of your door. Sunnyside can offer families and couples a lovely holiday home with off road parking and a large enclosed sunny garden. This spacious, stylish cottage comes with two large bedrooms, one with a super king-size bed that can divide and become two full size single beds which guarantee a good night’s sleep whatever your preference, and a walk-in shower room completes the first floor. The large open plan living accommodation is ideal for everyone to gather together and share experiences either settled on the comfy seating with the doors open wide to take in the breeze, or seated at the table enjoying a delicious meal perhaps prepared in the well-equipped kitchen with a bottle of wine. Just outside your door is the beautiful medieval town of Rye with its cobbled lanes and quaint shops, tiny tea rooms, local inns serving delicious meals made from local produce and of course being so close to the sea, fish and chips restaurants. You can buy fish caught daily from the fishmonger at the harbour and with three wineries within 10 miles of Rye you are spoilt for choice when choosing a good white wine to enjoy with it. Carr Taylor Vinery is only a short drive away and offers daily tours, while Chapel Down Vinery is just outside Rye and produces an excellent sparkling wine, so the choice is endless! Whatever the weather you must visit the Kino Cinema whether to take in a film on a wet day or just enjoy tea and cakes in the charming café on a warm afternoon, making this a visit to the cinema with a difference. After a long day of exploring and adventures return to the welcome of Sunnyside, relax in the garden as the last rays of the day go down and reflect on the day's pleasure in this perfect part of Sussex. Note: This property is near to Ref 22418, together they sleep 10.

Rye is a 13th century cinque port in East Sussex, host to the River Rother, Romney Marshes and a history dating back before the Norman Conquest. A cobbled town offering an excellent array of unusual shops, antique emporiums, galleries selling local artist paintings and pottery, Rye also has a delightful range of tea rooms, restaurants, pubs and historic inns.

Had an issue with the oven but it was quickly sorted. Needs a bit of tlc with patio and kitchen door locks and shower door off runners which we have reported but would highly recommend a stay here. Very close to fish and chip shop and Chinese. Bus stop and train station near by and interesting nature reserve.

It can’t be safe to have water in the electrical system. The lock on the kitchen door was broken so it wouldn’t unlock and the bifold doors didn’t open fully.
