About this property

Stay in this spacious, romantic holiday apartment for two, close to Hastings Old Town

You enter the apartment into a spacious hallway. Off the hallway, there is a utility room with room to store bicycles should you wish to bring them with you. The bathroom is on the lower level and has an unusual Turkish style, tiled, deep bath, ample room for two, and also a wall mounted shower attachment over the bath.

The main living area is upstairs. The exposed beams, high ceilings and glass bi-folding doors to the balcony, give this space a light and airy feel. The open plan has a modern, fitted kitchen, a dining area and a cosy lounge with a gas fire as a focal point. The wow factor with Millennium cottage is the balcony, that stretches the full length of the rear of the property and has views towards the ‘Firehills’ and surrounding properties. Here you can sit and enjoy an early morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening, as the lights are slowly switched on and the stars twinkle above.

The bedroom is off the lounge and has everything to make your stay comfortable, with a separate WC and hand basin.

Guests have access to the summer house at the end of the garden, which is secluded and tranquil.

Hastings and beyond

Millennium cottage is about a twenty minute stroll to Hastings Old Town, it is located in an elevated position, so the walk into town is a little harder on the return journey. There is a bus route that drops you within minutes of the property if you wish to make the return journey easier. There is a local shop just 5 minutes away and a good choice of supermarkets all within a 15 minute car journey.

The apartment is in the perfect position for walkers wishing to explore the Firehills and Hastings Country Park, all within easy walking distance.

Hastings Old Town is picturesque and quaint, with a mixture of antique shops, boutiques and cafes. The town is famous for the biggest beach fishing fleet in Europe and much of the tradition has been kept. The net drying huts and fishing fleet can be found on the beach today, along with the many fresh fish stalls. The recently opened Jerwood Gallery is found close by and The Shipwreck and Coastal Heritage Museum is worth a visit.

The Hastings Country Park is over 267 hectares of ancient woodland, heathland and grassland together with three miles (5km) of dramatic cliffs and coastline. Lying within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Beauty, most of the park has been designated a Special Area of Conservation, a Site of Special Scientific Interest and is a designated Local Nature Reserve.

You are of course in 1066 Country and with that comes, Castles, National Trust Gardens and Grand Houses, plenty to visit during your stay but too many for me to list. Please visit our 'Places to Visit' for East Sussex to learn more.

The owners were very welcoming and happy to help if a problem should arise, even supplied cleaner for the car after diesel being spilt on it at the petrol station. Excellent accommodation. Would definitely book this accommodation again if in the area. Would definitely check out Amberley House Holidays website if travelling to other areas which are in the brochure. Thanks again everyone for a fantastic holiday, the weather helped too

A spotlessly clean well equipped property with a quality finish. The owners are helpful and friendly. I would happily stay at the property and use your services again.

We had a lovely 3 night break at Millennium Cottage. You know you are in a good place when you are welcomed with milk in the fridge, tea bags at the ready and a decent frying pan! It was a great location to explore Hastings and the surrounding area. Would certainly recommend to others.
