In front, a neat fenced garden and, at the back, a courtyard (table/chairs, barbecue) filled with flower tubs, leading to a lawned garden, and, beyond that, a pony paddock for romping.
Hall; two front-facing living rooms, one with woodburner and TV, one with open fire and TV/DVD, both with lovely big sash windows, books and board games; farmhouse-style kitchen/dining room (cherry-red Rayburn plus electric oven/hob, dishwasher, microwave) with table/chairs in the middle and big dresser; large utility room with tumble drier, washing machine, fridge-freezer, larder fridge and shower cubicle. Downstairs twin bedroom (5’6" lintel) and loo next to it.
Stairs from the hall up to four more bedrooms – a double plus single with washbasin, a double, a twin (zip-linkable to 6' double) with en suite bathroom (suite, shower over bath), and a twin (low doorway) with washbasin. Smart bathroom (suite, shower over bath). A few more steep stairs up to the attic and a sixth bedroom with 5’ double bed, washbasin, Velux window and exposed ancient roof timbers. Friendly lady owner lives in cottage across the courtyard.
A much recommended family house. Brilliant for walkers. Golf nearby.

"This is a very nice comfortable holiday home. We spent a very enjoyable week here. The landlady is very friendly and helpful and the house was very clean and tidy. The only little thing that could be improved would be that the shower (particularly in main bathroom serving many rooms) could be more efficient - the pressure is rather weak - other than that all very good."

"Lovely large holiday property with plenty of room for all the family. Our party ranged from 8weeks to 80years and suited our needs well. Really helpful lady owner lives on site but respects your privacy. Cooking on the Aga is a must and keeps the kitchen lovely and warm. The bedrooms are large with plenty of sleeping options. Little things like hand soaps and toiletries supplied along with plenty of toilet paper and cleaning supplies, dish washer tablets and towels made it so much more welcoming then other properties we have stayed in. Children will love feeding the goats and pigs with left over food. Thank you for our stay at Elmfield."
