Suited our needs as my 86 year old Dad came with us. Plenty of space to relax. Nice big kitchen, bedrooms lovely. Nice touch of eggs from the hens and other goodies. You need your wits about you on the roads by the cottage, but it's very quiet. We visited Watchet and Minehead and had a lovely Sunday.... Suited our needs as my 86 year old Dad came with us. Absolutely brilliant cottage and extremely thoughtful and considerate hosts. Lovely welcome treats (bubbly for New Year, biscuits, fresh eggs and more - and a later gift of some pheasant!). Beautifully clean, very well-equipped and stunning rural location. They have thought of everything. We lov.... We loved the peace and quiet after a hectic Christmas and you can really get away from things here. Worked really well for our multi-generational family, with great access, downstairs bedroom and bathroom for an 89 year old. Great access to local countryside and hills (although the weather was very stormy when we were there, so we did lots of resting and reading in this very comfortable cottage whilst active son was undeterred and made the most of the Quantocks). Some distance from local shops so you need to come prepared, but Eric checked all of this in advance. We enjoyed visiting Dunster Castle and Watchet and would be very happy to return in the spring or summer to explore the coastline further.
