This Victorian single-storey cottage is located in glorious countryside, just a couple of miles from the North Somerset coast. Situated 4 miles from Porlock and 7 miles from Lynton and Lynmouth, the cottage is ideally situated to explore all that this beautiful part of the south west has to offer. From the porch, you step into the cosy sitting room, with sofas, then pass through the old entrance hall, which now doubles as the comfortable dining area ( off which you will find a door leading to bathroom number 3!), into the well appointed fitted kitchen, fully equipped for even the most discerning cook. Doors lead from the kitchen directly to the two luxurious (and recently added) en-suite bedrooms. The first having a super king size bed, and the second again a super king size bed (which can alternatively be set up as two full size single beds - please specify your preference at the time of booking). Both bedrooms benefit from having fabulous en suite shower rooms and smart T.V's. To the rear of the cottage you can enjoy warm summer evenings in the garden which wraps around the cottage. To the side of the cottage is a generous parking area to accommodate up to 3 cars. This is brilliant walking and cycling country, with footpaths and bridlepaths heading in all directions from the doorstep, to make the most of the stunning moorland or the fabulous coastline. With all the lovely scenery around the cottage, Yearnor Moor Lodge is a perfect bolthole for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors.

Porlock is a quaint village, popular with tourists due its character, proximity to the lovely North Somerset coastline and situation within the Exmoor National Park. There are plenty of little gift shops along with pubs, cafes and restaurants to be found and only two miles away, the picturesque harbour of Porlock Weir offers wonderful views across the Bristol Channel. The Porlock Hill takes travelers up a steep, winding road out of the village to the Exmoor Hills, where walkers, horse riders and cyclists will love the open space, where ponies and red deer roam the moors. In 2011, Exmoor was designated as Europe’s first International Dark Skies Reserve, and so this is an excellent base for a romantic evening spent gazing at the stars, where a clear night unveils an abundance of interesting constellations to the naked eye. Porlock offers the choice of sea fishing from the weir, and the reservoirs and rivers of Exmoor are only a short, scenic drive away. Golfers can stay in Porlock and enjoy one of the several courses on the edges of Exmoor, with the nearest only seven miles away. The medieval village of Dunster, where the castle dominates the skyline, makes a great day out, or take a ride on the West Somerset steam train along the coast to the little harbour village of Watchet. A fabulous village location with lots of outdoor pursuits to interest every visitor.
