As others have said, this house felt like a cosy home from the minute we walked in. It really is a gorgeous house, to stay in such a historical place for three nights was a pleasure. I enjoyed reading about some of the history of the cottage which is thoughtfully included in the information book. Dunster is a wonderful village, full of beautiful walks and interesting shops. We can definitely recommend the Stag’s Head opposite. Lovely food, friendly staff and they really do love dogs in there. Dunster and Minehead Beaches were great for our dogs. Blue Anchor beach is nice, but a bit muddy when the tide is out. We went to Selworthy Beacon for fabulous far distant views, and we ate at the Periwinkle Tearooms in Selworthy village. They are also dog freindly. It is so picturesque there– just like a film set but prettier! Amazing thatched cottages. I’m sure we will be back as this stay was just too short. A big thank you to Lucy and her team, the cottage is absolutely spotless and beautifully presented.”

A lovely property in a brilliant location. We have enjoyed the few days we had there. We enjoyed lunch at Tessa’s Tearoom and an evening meal at Hathaway’s – both of which are in the village. The retail therapy was great! A thoroughly relaxing time, thank you very much.

The extra touches of a chocolate cake for us and treats for Teddy (our fur friend) were much appreciated. It was also very well-equipped. This is a perfect location, we enjoyed meals at the traditional Stags Head pub, Sunday Roast at the Luttrell Arms and a superb meal at Reeves – all in Dunster village. We visited lots of places despite the rain. Tarr Steps, Porlock Weir, Dulverton, Minehead and Dunster Castle, the grounds and watermill which was delightful. There is so much more to do and see and we will definitely return. Many thanks to Lucy for an immaculate property with great attention to detail.
