Close by is the Cheddar Gorge, spooky Wookey Hole, Wells with its wonderful cathedral and the market town of Glastonbury, plus birdwatching can be enjoyed at Westhay, Godney and Westonzoyland. Within driving distance is the seaside resort of Weston-super-Mare and the beautiful Exmoor National Park. Burtle is a small village within the Vale of Avalon in Somerset. Burtle is a superb base from which to visit many attractions and interesting places including; the town of Street, Glastonbury, Wells, Burnham-on-Sea and Cheddar Gorge, plus good walking and cycling routes are available in the area.
