Located in the grounds of the owners’ public house, this neat little cottage is an excellent choice for couples wishing to explore this beautiful part of Somerset. The Burcott Inn is a traditional pub serving local ales and has a fine a la carte restaurant - you may decide not to cook for your entire length of stay! Stable Cottage is a smart single storey property at the end of a row of four. Specifically designed for two, the living area is open plan with a compact but well-designed kitchen area. At the rear of the cottage, the bright and welcoming double bedroom adjoins an en-suite wet room. Stable Cottage shares a small lawn and picnic table with the three other cottages and you are of course welcome to enjoy the lovely pub gardens.
Wells is named after the springs in the grounds of its Bishop's Palace with its moat. Adjacent is the 12th century cathedral within an attractive green. Close by, Vicars Close is home to a medieval street, and the market square offers shops, boutiques and restaurants, and a bi-weekly market. The surrounding aonb provides a footpaths and landscapes, a centre for caving and rock climbing. Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole Caves offer days out. Glastonbury is also an easy journey, this city makes an ideal touring base. With much to see and do, there is something to keep everyone entertained!
