About this property

A luxurious lodge designed exclusively for couples, set in the stunning Somerset countryside

Amber Lodge is one of the largest lodges on site and has one bedroom, but is the same size as a standard two bedroom lodge. Consequently, the bedroom suite and the living area are both exceptionally spacious and airy with wonderful views.

You'll find a super king size bed (6ft), high thread count cotton bed linen, 40” 3D Smart TV and solid oak chests of drawers in the bedroom. Relax in, and enjoy, the double ended bath, walk-in shower and underfloor heating in the large en suite bathroom.

The open plan living area encompasses areas for relaxing, studying, cooking and dining. Couples can snuggle up on a comfortable three seater sofa, enjoying the views, watching the 48” Smart TV or listening to music on the Bose CD player or the Sonos Play 3 system. For those preferring to read or with work to do, there is a reclining armchair with footstool, and a console with lighting for reading or laptop usage. The kitchen is exceptionally well provided with everything that a cook might need and the dining area looks out to splendid views to the south and west.

Amber Lodge offers superb views of the Mendip Hills – an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty –which can be enjoyed from living areas and bedroom alike, or while sipping something bubbly in the hot tub or relaxing on the sun loungers. Guests can also dine al fresco on the large wrap around decking complete with barbeque, while savouring the Somerset countryside.

Strawberryfield Park is perfectly positioned for exploring everything Somerset has to offer. The historic city of Wells is within easy reach, famous for its Cathedral, Bishop’s Palace and Market Square. The beautiful city of Bath is also a great place for a day out. Just up the road from the lodge you will find the Cheddar Gorge - the site of the Cheddar show caves, where Britain's oldest complete human skeleton, Cheddar Man, estimated to be over 9,000 years old, was found in 1903. You'll also be a short drive away from Wookey Hole Caves and Longleat House and Safari Park. For those looking to make the most of the sun, you can escape to the coast in next to no time at all with Weston-Super-Mare and Burnham-on-Sea both close by. With all these brilliant places on your doorstep, you'll never be short of things to do.
Please note: This lodge is situated on a site with ongoing works causing minimal disruption.

To maintain a family friendly environment, guests are politely asked to respect the peace and quiet nature of Strawberryfield Park

Excellent location. Accommodation was very clean and benefited from its own privacy. Good ale barn on site offering drinks and food. About 1 mile from cheddar town which was good!

This property is absolutely faultless, from the moment you arrive the experience is Five star! With high quality furnishings and a smart TV in the living room and bedroom, a Bose stereo and of course the hot tub, you could not ask for more! The kitchen is well equipped with pots, pans and utensils so there was no need to take any extras for cooking with like you have to with some other self catering holidays. Arriving to a hamper of goodies, tea, coffee and milk was and extra special touch along with the robes and slippers! Only one downside to this property....I didn't want to come home! Will definitely be booking again!
