Wilderness Lodge is the perfect destination for friends and family looking for a luxury getaway or a romantic break in perfect tranquil surroundings. Beautifully furnished throughout in keeping with its rustic theme, the lodge is all on one floor. Head into the spacious open plan living area, which has many welcoming features including a woodburner, comfortable sofas, well-equipped kitchen and French doors opening out onto the surrounding decking. From the open plan living area you will find a lovely bathroom and two double bedrooms, all stylishly furnished. On cool evenings the sitting area with its warming woodburner is the perfect place to relax or on warmer evenings there is ample space on the decking to sit back and gaze at the stars. Whatever the time of day or year, the soothing hot tub will add that extra bit of luxury to your stay in this lovely wooden lodge. Outside, the decking extends around two sides of the lodge and overlooks the natural pond in the garden within the natural surroundings of this lovely wooded area. The popular Stiperstones village pub and the local shop are just 10 minutes on foot, and there are wonderful scenic walks and mountain bike trails on your doorstep. Why not spend a day visiting the historic county town of Shrewsbury with its medieval architecture, individual shops, riverside walks and cafés and restaurants? For history lovers the World Heritage Site of Ironbridge with its many museums, including the Living History Museum at Blists Hill is a must or perhaps touring round visiting the variety of National Trust properties and lovely gardens in the area might be more to your liking. There are many pretty towns and villages in this part of Shropshire, including Much Wenlock, Church Stretton, Bridgnorth and Ludlow and if you want to venture further afield you are within easy travelling distance to Oswestry and across into Mid Wales. This lovely rustic Stiperstones lodge is a superb base for friends and family to explore Shropshire, whatever the season.

The village of Stiperstones nestles in an unspoilt valley on the slopes of the beautiful Stiperstones Hill range and is only eight miles from the delightful Church Stretton and 12 miles from the historic towns of Shrewsbury and Bishop’s Castle. This small Shropshire village boasts a shop and charming inn and is a perfect starting point for many scenic trails, with the summit of the famous Stiperstones Hill, a 1.5 mile walk, and the East Ridge Wood mountain bike trails very close by.

    The only negative we had was the hot tub which you had to light and heat up to much hassle other than that the place was amazing

    Loved the wood fired hot tub especially on a frosty dark winters night . 10 mins from the local pub and shop The atmosphere in the pub was full of locals and they made us feel very welcome , great home cooked food ,shops a little Aladdin's cave . would love to return one day, thank you Stuart & Carmen xx P.s the cake was yummy !!
