Guests appreciate the proximity to the local pub and shop, the welcoming hosts, and the added luxury of a hot tub. While there is an isolated complaint about heating and maintenance, the majority of reviews are overwhelmingly positive, often highlighting the thoughtful touches such as a welcome cake.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Guests consistently mention that the cottage is lovely and clean, with several reviews noting it as spotless. One review mentioned having to clean the toilet upon arrival, but this seems to be an isolated incident.

The location is highly praised for its convenience with a pub and shop across the road, and for being close to beautiful scenery and walks. The village is described as welcoming and the proximity to local attractions is appreciated.

Many reviews mention comfortable beds and sofas, and the hot tub as a relaxing feature. The comfort of the cottage is frequently cited, suggesting a high level of satisfaction among guests.

Facilities are generally regarded as great, with a well-equipped kitchen and a hot tub. However, one review cited issues with the central heating and lack of garden light for the hot tub area at night, which suggests some room for improvement in maintenance.

Guests often mention the thoughtful gestures such as a welcome cake, bread, and milk. While these gifts are warmly received, it should be noted that such personal touches, though common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

!! It had everything we needed and the owner had provided loads of great info and local tips. Lovely enclosed garden for the pooch, with the highlight being the hot tub. Stipingstones is a beautiful village with lots of scenic walks and lots to do in the area. I definitely plan on visiting again.

Phil and Lara were away but the Inn staff looked after us and our take-away meals very well indeed. The weather didn’t materialise to be quite as awful as forecast and we were able to do long walks every day to discover this beautiful part of Shropshire we didn’t know before such as walking the ridge, the impressive Devil’s Chair, the Bog (lovely tea room) to Rhadley Hill, Clun and Bury Ditches Iron Age settlement, Haughmond Abbey, etc…The lemon drizzle cake was so good and milk and bread left for us was a thoughtful touch.
