About this property

This lovely semi-detached barn rests on the outskirts of Westbury, eight miles west of the town of Shrewsbury, and very close to the Wales-England border. Equally perfect for families, friends, or couples, this retreat promises a comfortable stay for guests, with soft furnishings and neutral colours effectively representing the cottage's quality theme. Introducing an open-plan living area, feel free to relax on the armchair and sofa included, or enjoy a home-cooked meal together at the dining area, situated by the modernised kitchen. Just off from this, you will discover a beautiful wet room, and a twin bedroom coordinated with bedside tables, and a warm glow from the lamps that rest on top. The master suite is presented with king-size beds, uplifted by a brick feature wall, and joined by storage cupboards, along with an en-suite shower room. With large windows to the front, views sweep out towards the south of Shropshire, a calming backdrop to wake up to every day that goes by. Open the doors to your own enclosed garden perfectly divided for pets to roam, as you enjoy the scenery that leans over to Rodney's pillar; a famous local landmark. The county town of Shrewsbury is only a short drive offering a mismatch of buildings and architectural styles lining meandering cobbled streets. There are plenty of places to eat and drink in the town, as well as boutique shops, museums and art galleries to visit during your stay. Just outside of these, you can visit Attingham Park and Wroxeter Roman City, with the ruins of the fourth largest city in Roman Britain. A picture-postcard destination to build some memories. This property can be booked with prop ref 945034 and 945045.

Freezer door seal broken so couldn’t shut freezer resulting in water on floor permanently. Filthy smelling bin fixed in cupboard not washed in ….long, floors not clean and dust all behind cupboards. Pots ,pans, plates etc not clean and stored in dirty cupboards. Leaking toilet in main bathroom .No instructions for tv, aerial not even plugged in found it hanging at the back of cupboard and had to trail it around a bedroom door to plug in. outdoor area so untidy and used looking, Needed really good cleanup and new garden furniture and sun loungers need replacing. Whole place was very run down and needed attention in lots of areas. Welcome packed needs to be updated and information placed in it about facilities and things to do out and about.Small complimentary basket of milk and few necessities would be good due to lack of nearby shops

It was let down by cleanliness of the property ie floors needing a good sweep under furniture and also oven was to greasy to use. Sofa has lost all its spring and could do with replacing. Kitchen needs baking trays and sharp knives however we had a lovely stay , bedding was crisp and clean and towels soft, owners very friendly and helpful and enjoyed the hot tub and great for dogs

There were no baking trays for use in the oven. The settee and chairs are uncomfortable and past their best. There was no way to test the hot tub water which smelled excessively of chlorine and 2 people from our party suffered what resembled burns. No welcome pack ? Not sure if this would be normal.
