Situated over four floors, this cottage is wrapped in character and charm, a quirky place to bring your loved ones, where together you can build some memories in one of England's finest heritage towns. Enter the cottage and you will receive a warm welcome from two fabulous sitting rooms; the first is elevated by natural lighting with a view of the delightful garden to keep you company. Centred by a feature fireplace and divided by an archway, you will be spoilt for choice between the two. The kitchen and dining room are located on the lower ground floor, an almost enchanting addition to the cottage, with fantastic exposed beams to compliment the formation. Across the first and second floor, discover the beautiful assortment of bedrooms, all expressing their own personality through floral or patterned bedding. The master suite even includes its own shower room located on the upper level, finishing the interior to that of a hotel standard. To admire the beautiful exterior, why not spend an hour or two in the garden which features its own patio area, a pleasant suntrap to take in the peaceful surroundings. Explore the picturesque cobbled alleys and squares or enjoy some of the events and festivals that take place each year, particularly Shrewsbury's 'Summer Season', which caters for every age and interest. The town offers a diverse selection of independent and high street shops, along with plenty of cafes, bars, restaurants and pubs. Visit NT's stately Attingham Park, an elegant 18th century mansion, Wroxeter Roman City, the museums at Ironbridge, the castle and Michelin starred restaurants of Ludlow, or Acton Scott working farm. The perfect holiday destination.

No DVD player. Stair carpets stained badly. Jar of cigarette butts in garden. Skylight had no blind & mattress in that room awful. Toilet walls paint peeling off everywhere.Couldn’t make it up for what not to do as an owner. Sorry won’t be back. Sykes do you check these places?

It was a fabulous location for walking in and around Shrewsbury. The dining room was perfect for family games. As others have said, you need to move the furniture around if you have 6 adults who want to look at the TV - the Coronation was happening during our stay - so we watched a bit of that. The bedroom with the shower did not have a blind on the skylight which meant the people in that room were woken up very early. The 2 single beds were different heights but it would have been nice to have the option to put them together. Lots of us banged our heads on the central light over the dining table. The cooker hood was rather low and caused a few more banged heads. Fixing a blind and moving the dining room light are not big jobs but if they were fixed, it would be a great improvement. This was a very reasonably priced property and it was great to have the carpark so close as well. Thank you

As other reviews have commented, the house was not quite as fresh looking as the pictures on the website. The info regarding the bins wasn't clear, so although we guessed on where to leave the recycling, there was no outdoor bin for general household (food) waste. Thanks for the biscuits and the pint of milk!
