About this property

This delightful end-terrace barn conversion is one of four stone-built barn conversions situated close to the owner’s historic farmhouse, on a small equestrian yard in the rural village of Pitchford in this peaceful and undiscovered area of Shropshire. This Pitchford cottage offers character accommodation with exposed beams and trusses, which combine with modern features to create a cosy, welcoming cottage atmosphere throughout. Set entirely over the ground floor, this Pitchford cottage has two pleasant bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, and a calming sitting room with a large TV, giving you the ideal space to unwind after a busy day. There are two private gardens at this Pitchford cottage, both perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine, This is a perfect base for a family or couple to explore the beautiful county of Shropshire, enjoy the delightful towns of Much Wenlock, Church Stretton, Shrewsbury and wonderful Ludlow. A perfect retreat to get away from it all and explore the hidden delights of one of England’s most lovely counties.

The pretty, rural village of Pitchford is set in rolling farmland almost equidistant between Much Wenlock, Church Stretton and Shrewsbury. This Shropshire village is famous for Pichford Hall, one of the most notable Elizabethan Houses in Britain, which also boasts the world’s oldest tree house, which was built in the 18th century.

Very comfortable and deceptively spacious. Nothing not to like.

Location was quiet and the facilities within the cottage fantastic. Not a smart TV so those of a streaming persuasion would need to bring a fire stick or equivalent, but a great quality TV and DVD player . The cottage is also in a fantastic location for visiting Shrewsbury, Attingham Park, Ironbridge Gorge and has a castle just over a miles walk away .

The house itself is beautifully maintained with great sized rooms. Comfy beds with loads of wardrobe space. Big bathroom with fabulous shower! Good sized kitchen with everything you need... and some lovely biscuits awaiting you! We had great weather so we were able to make use of the outside table and chairs to eat meals and sit and chill with our morning coffee. Yes, it's off the beaten track but close to all the main roads and a great central location to visit all the towns, cities and sites in the region. Would HIGHLY recommend.
