During the summer months, venture outside to soak up the sun on the patio area where a spot of alfresco dining can be enjoyed before stretching your legs on the spacious lawn area, where the countryside views can be enjoyed further. If you don’t feel like cooking one evening, venture into the nearby village of Trefonen where you will find a traditional pub serving food, or venture slightly further to the town of Oswestry where you will be spoilt for choice by the selection of eateries that await you. For those seeking to explore the countryside, Jones' Rough nature reserve can be found at the of the lane, or setting further, the famous Offa’s Dyke Pathway is situated just 0.2 miles from the cottage which offers a magnitude of walks and breath-taking views. Other walks include the Berwyn Mountain Range and the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct offers a gentle stroll. Brush up on the local history by discovering the National Trust Properties of Erddig, Chirk and Powis Castles, all located within a short drive. Alternatively, venture to the historic city of Chester or the medieval town of Shrewsbury to discover further amenities. Within in the small rural village you will find a pub, shop and has Offa's Dyke pathway running through. Within the surrounding area you will find the Berwyn Mountain Range and a number of walking and cycling routes which includes Berwyn Ridge Pathway and the Offa’s Dyke Path.
