Nearby attractions include Stokesay Castle, the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre, Acton Scott Historic Working Farm (as seen on TV), the Long Mynd and Caradoc Hills, the World Heritage Site of Ironbridge, Wroxeter Roman Ruins, the Severn Valley Railway and medieval Shrewsbury and Hereford. There are art and craft shops, and the Linney Riverside Park has the opportunity to hire boats, has a play area and also a putting green. Ludlow is close to Shropshire attractions including Ironbridge, Church Stretton, the Severn Valley Railway and Cardingmill Valley.
