The village of Leighton, which is mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1087, stands in the heart of Shropshire, and is only four miles from the World Heritage Site of Ironbridge, home of the world's first iron-built bridge, built 1777-79. The Ironbridge Gorge is one of the country's most delightful tourist attractions; situated in a lovely wooded valley, the village has many pubs, restaurants, shops and tea rooms. A collection of industrial and Victorian themed museums make up the Ironbridge Museums, including the renowned Blist Hill Victorian Village, where you can step back in time. The cottage was well equipped, clean , plenty of linen. Ideal location for All amenities. The only negative criticism was the drive up to the cottage, the road was in desperate need for repair to the potholes. If that would be repaired, I would definitely return, and would like to know if that were the case. This is a true feedback of such a lovely cottage. Thank You.

It was well stocked with essentials and tourist information. One word of warning to owners of vehicles low to the ground with low suspension or low skirt body kits, the approach road is not suitable and in any case great care should be taken to avoid some significant pot holes. Otherwise, outstanding work by very friendly owners
