About this property

Set over a single floor, this large bungalow is perfectly placed in an elevated position, allowing you to take in views of the glorious rolling hills and fields that make up the Welsh borders. Ideal for a family getaway with plenty of space, Bryn Caer is an incredible base from which to explore North Wales and Shropshire. With modern features seamlessly meeting traditional comfort and style, Bryn Caer has a large sitting room with ample seating space, a TV/DVD player and woodburner for cosy nights in. The kitchen boasts an Aga, but also has a double oven for your convenience and electric hobs, with seating for six around a dining table. While the double and single bedrooms are comfortable, the master bedroom also has an en-suite shower room and patio doors leading to the garden area. Surrounded by lush gardens, there is ample room for at least five cars, an outside seating area and long, gated drive leading to the bungalow. Bryn Caer is within an easy five minute walk to the Shropshire village of Chirbury, where you can find a traditional village pub, post office and shop. Perched in the heart of plentiful green space and perfect for walkers, you can also discover some of Wales’ rich history by visiting Powis Castle, just seven miles away. Or spend a day shopping in the traditional town of Welshpool. For a family or group escape to the Welsh Borders, Bryn Caer is a stunning and peaceful place to stay all year round.

The village of Chirbury is home to a village hall, a large public house called The Herbert Arms, and a post office, which is also the village shop. Montgomery is a short drive away and is popular with tourists. The town has a selection of individual shops and a variety of pubs and restaurants, including the Michelin star restaurant. A few miles to the south is the historic market town of Bishop's Castle for its pubs, live music and festivals throughout the year.

    Comfortable and peaceful. Highly recommended.

  • Elizabeth

Comfortable and well equipped. Friendly owners, but in no way intrusive. We enjoyed the views, the birds feeding just outside the window, the fruit from the apple trees, and the warmth and cosiness at night.
