The village of Skinningrove is situated on the Cleveland Way, and has an array of delightful cottages and an assortment of shops to provide visitors with all the amenities they may need. It has a safe, sandy beach and the geology of the area makes it a good place to hunt for fossils both in Skinningrove and in nearby Saltburn. The village is well placed for visiting other attractions such as the magnificent abbey at Whitby and the town's bustling harbour. The dramatic scenery of the North Yorks Moors National Park is within easy reach and can be explored on foot along one of the many paths, or drive along the country lanes and discover the charming villages dotted across the landscape. Skinningrove makes a great base to see the attractions and take advantage of the activities in this stunning area.

The weather was not to good. And a lot of rain came down. But the cottage had everything we needed . Plus it was very clean and fresh. A bonus is the Kaskane cafe and Covells bar on site. The food is tasty and great size potions with a nice range of drinks.

Dog friendly enclosed garden was ideal. Only comment I can make is the sofa wasnât very comfy and I would have laminate floors throughout in a holiday let. However I can anticipate us making a return trip.

Very clean, with the Kaskane 2 minutes away serving great meals at good prices. Great in summer to sit and have a drink before retiring to the cottage. Canât fault it
