About this property

A delightful Grade II listed cottage in the popular market town of Guisborough in the Tees valley region of the North East. The owners have gone to great lengths to renovate this North Yorkshire cottage to the highest standard, providing a superb base for exploring the delights of the area. Set over two floors, the cottage exudes charm and character throughout. Upstairs you will find the double bedroom, with iron framed bed and exposed original beams giving the room a stylish, romantic feel. The floor is complete with a lovely bathroom with roll-top bath. Downstairs a cosy sitting room awaits with a woodburner, ideal for snuggling in front of after a day out. You will also find the well-equipped kitchen as part of this open plan room. To the rear a small shared courtyard is provided, ideal for sitting out with a drink and taking in some fresh air and sunshine. The cottage is in an enviable location, across from Guisborough's famous Priory and Saint Nicholas' Church. The small town also provides many shops, pubs and eateries on its bustling High Street. Just outside of Guisborough explore the North Yorkshire coast, with Saltburn and Redcar within 20 minutes’ drive and the famous links golf course at Seaton Carew just a little further. To the south the North Yorkshire Moors National Park provides stunning walking country and popular seaside towns such as Whitby, Runswick Bay and Robin Hood's Bay can be found within a 45 minutes’ drive. A first-class holiday cottage to enjoy a memorable holiday with that special someone!

Guisborough is an attractive market town set in rural surroundings on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. Steeped in history, Guisborough is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the town's most notable feature is the beautiful ruined abbey, Gisborough Priory; standing in full glory, to its original height of 97 feet, the dramatic gothic east gable towers high over the market town and has become a well-known icon of the town. This bustling small town has twice-weekly market days, a good selection of eateries, excellent pubs and many independent shops.

The cottage is teeny tiny but everything we needed. Lovely set up, very cozy .spotless .Half hour drive to Whitby from here . Central to lots of places . Lovely welcome package . I would say my only niggles were, the bath isn't very practical. If you are tall especially . Partner is over six foot so had to fold himself into bath

Comfy and cosy with everything we needed, loved the welcome basket. Would love to come back so we can visit the ruins opposite. Town center just around the corner with everything we needed.
