The bustling village of Longnor is just 2 miles away from your Peak District cottage, offering a cobbled market place and an array of shops and real ale pubs, whilst a little further away is the pretty village of Hartington set around a quaint duck pond with some very interesting shops and inns for you to explore. Longnor nestles between the Dove and Manifold valleys and provides an excellent starting point for many walks, whether it’s a ramble by the river or for a more challenging walk, there are some serious upland treks. Also, the Tissington Trail is a great cycle route with stunning scenery. The spa town of Buxton and the market town of Bakewell are within easy reach, so there’s plenty to see and do from this romantic cottage whenever you choose to go.

The charming Peak District village of Longnor is situated in beautiful countryside on the Staffordshire Moorlands/Derbyshire border, with the River Dove to the east and the River Manifold to the west, making an excellent touring centre. The village boasts two pubs, a shop, a Post Office, café tea room, fish and chip shop, great craft centre and a beautiful church. The historic market square is cobbled and a scale of market charges is still posted on a board outside the market hall. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, the Spa town of Buxton with its famous Opera House, the attractive market town of Bakewell and Alton Towers theme park are all within easy reach.
