"The owner was very welcoming and helpful. Accommodation was comfortable and warm. Ideally situated within easy walking distance of tittesworth reservoir and a good pub. Many footpaths led from the Accommodation to the moors. Loved it."
    Mrs Myangar ‐ 1 Aug 2018
"It’s surrounded with green lush fields with sheep and cattle grazing, which was perfect for our family get away. Owner of the cottage was extremely helpful and friendly. We all had a great time and an amazing holiday, with lots of wonderful memories made. I will be booking again."
    Mrs Smith ‐ 1 Jul 2018
"Lovely weekend at S39257 we were blessed with good weather so were able to enjoy the surrounding area including the reservoir and facilities at Tittesworth."
    Miss Mcnab ‐ 1 Jul 2018
"S39257 is a fantastic house. We were a party of 13 with 4 teenagers and a 6yr old. There is so much room in the house. The kitchen facilities were fab. House was spotless. Beds were comfy. The owner is a lovely lady who left fresh flowers, wine and chocolates for our arrival. ..."
    Mr Lockie ‐ 1 Mar 2018
"Overall the accommodation was wonderful. However i would recommend that some of the bed matresses and dining room chairs and some of the lounge seetees could do with replacing as they are past there best and are a little uncomfortable. Wonderful location."
    Ms Brough ‐ 1 Feb 2018
"We were so lucky with the weather as well. We celebrated my mother’s 90 th birthday and had a wonderful time. Thankyou."
    Mrs Watson ‐ 1 Oct 2017

"Great house for a large party. We had a big party for my mum there. Great facilities, large kitchen lounge and all the showers good ! Close to things to do for kids, walkers and climbers in the Peak District. Very good owner who was really helpful for all the stay."
    Mrs Johnson ‐ 1 Aug 2017
"Great house for a large party. The hostess was really informative and helpful. Great location for access to walks climbs pubs and a playground. Great rooms and all the showers were powerful."
    Mrs Moss ‐ 1 Aug 2017
"We needed a cottage that could fit 12 people. We didn't have that much choice but S39257 turned out to be great. We were not cramped and there were plenty of facilities for everyone. We couldn't have hoped for more."
    Jane H ‐ 1 Jul 2017
"The location has lovely views, is quiet and set well back from a country lane but not far from Leek, Buxton, Stoke and Macclesfield for groceries and museums. The Silk Museum in Macclesfield is a must. The Peak District scenery is beautiful, we went walking from the house or drove short distances first. Try renting bikes on the Monsal Trail from Hassop station near Bakewell. Rock climbers will love the nearby Roaches. There was space for our toddler grandchildren to play outside and away from the road. Our group was 8 adults and two toddlers and there was plenty of seating at the very long table and in the lounge, and the 4 bathrooms meant no waiting for showers. I highly recommend this beautiful barn conversion."
    Mrs Partington
"The cottages are in a beautiful spot surrounded by hills. They were extremely warm with the underfloor heating and even more spacious than the photos suggest. We liked it so much we have already booked again!"
    Mr Newton
"Extremely helpful owners, who couldn't do enough for us."
    TimB1960
"A most suitable accommodation for any size of party . Ours comprised of 12 people and everything was perfect . The accommodation is extremely well equipped and most comfortable with all the nice touches . There is plentiful heat and ample hot water even when all the showers etc are in use at the same time. On arrival there was a bottle of wine, flowers and chocolates waiting which was a nice welcome. Suzanne ,the owner came and said "hi" and she was most friendly. Nearby there is plenty to do and the local pub ,the lazy trout , is well worth the 5 minute stroll to. We will return here for sure."
    Miss Elliott
"Absolutely gorgeous converted barn in a beautiful location. 12 of us used S39257 barn for a 30th birthday weekend, there was ample space for us, everybody commented on how lovely the property was. Easy walking distance of local village Meerbrook which has a pub that does very nice food and close to the roaches for walking."
    June S
"Eleven of our family from around the world stayed In this gorgeous barn. We were very lucky with the weather and had a fab week here. The barn is so roomy and well equipped and I liked the fact that the large kitchen flowed into the lounge so that everyone was together. It was very clean and well equipped. The dining table was huge and sat everybody comfortably with room to spare. There was plenty of sofas in the lounge area. There are two large bedrooms on the ground floor and also a wet room. Please be aware there are steps around the barn which if you are wheelchair bound but I managed fine with crutches. We were greeted on arrival and the chocolates and wine were very much appreciated. There is a pub a few minutes walk away and a reservoir with a lovely play park and places to barbecue and picnic. Water sports were on offer while we were there. There are so many places to visit and the scenery is awesome. There are supermarkets ,shops etc a short drive away. We all enjoyed our stay but the highlight for the boys was the friendly rooster that came to visit each evening to be fed and petted lol. We would definitely recommend this barn and the owners were so helpful. Thanks for having us it was a wonderful holiday."
Mr Alasdair Rattray, Wetherby, West Yorkshire
"We particularly liked the large open plan kitchen/dining/lounge and the very large dining table. It was a spacious property for the 13 of us. The rural surroundings and views of the Roaches were lovely. Being able to walk to Tittesworth Reservoir and park was a great attraction. "

"A lovely holiday barn, perfect for us with walks on the doorstep and the The Peak District a short car trip away. The large kitchen come dining room and lounge all in one worked extremely well for the eleven of us. The owner was friendly and gave us some local information on the area, e.g. walks, shops and pubs. We all would be happy to return."

"The accommodation was lovely, very comfortable and clean, with some luxury touches. There were fluffy white towels and underfloor heating, little touches that make all the difference. The owner was very friendly and helpful and ensured our stay was seamless. It was also a great location, with a good pub, excellent play park and reservoir within walking distance."
    Mr Ed McLean, Fleet, Hampshire
    "A great location and cottage."
    Mrs Glynis Bainbrigge, Derby, Derbyshire
"We had a lovely warm welcome with flowers, wine, chocolates and the log fire roaring away. The owner visited us and explained about all we required to know, nothing was to much trouble. The barn is furnished beautifully. Three generations of family and friends celebrated my 65th birthday, it was perfect for all."
    Miss Laura Dorney, Bexleyheath,
"The owners were warm, friendly and welcoming. The layout is perfect to allow everyone to be in the same place at the same time, which was especially great if you usually spend a lot of your time in the kitchen; but also generally allowed everyone to freely mingle and catch up with one another! Perfect for a group holiday. Beautiful scenery on your doorstep and a playground minutes away for children, young and old! Thoroughly enjoyable."
    Mrs Sam Walsh, Winchester, Hampshire
"Lovely big communal living dining room, with space to seat everyone. Very warm, a good heating system. We had a great time."
    Sam W
"Beautiful building in a beautiful spot. The kitchen is very well stocked and the property has a great communal room for everyone to socialise. Great heating system, very warm throughout and plenty of hot water whenever required. The park at the nearby reservoir was excellent for the children. We would definitely recommend and return, thanks for a great holiday!"

"We had a family get together to celebrate my wife's birthday. Most of us did not know the area, but it is lovely with many interesting walks. The accommodation suited us very well and there was ample of space outside for grandchildren to play. The local pubs we sampled were very good. An excellent weekend. We had perfect weather, and my only doubt was over how we would have coped with poor weather."

"We rented S39257 along with the other 2 barns at the same location for my 40th birthday weekend and everyone was thrilled with them. Very high quality accomodation in a fantastic location. The open plan living area was perfect for a big get-together, and all three barns were really well equipped. Can't recommend these barns highly enough - all my friends were asking for the details with a view to returning wth family or friends. The owner was lovely and there's the added bonus of a great pub just a few minutes walk away (The Lazy Trout)."

"We arrived to a very warm welcome by the owners, together with a box of chocolates and a bottle of wine. It was the perfect barn for our family of ten adults and a 2 year old. Comfortable seating for all and the open plan aspect meant we were all together - whether it was watching tv, cooking, playing games or just snoozing and there was plenty of space for our 'little one' to play. The location was lovely too with the pub just down the road. We would certainly recommend S39257 and we may even be back again next year. Thank You!"

"Nice welcoming touches of a bottle of wine and chocalates. Nice rooms clean and to a high standard. Fantastic pub in the village which is only a couple of mins walk. Lots of space and if any problems the owners are on site to help. It would have been nice if the grass in front of the house had of been cut so that the kids could have had a game of cricket or football."

"One of the best things we found was that the kitchen and lounge areas were all one, this meant those that were preparing food were not on their own. Good location for walkers with fine views of S39257"

"The house was beautiful, clean and modern inside. Perfectly located, very quiet and safe for the children."

"13 of us stayed in this fantastic barn converstion! Fantastic location very close to Tittesworth Dam for a walk/run. The bedrooms were all roomy and fab and plenty of bathrooms! We also had a lovely walk up to the Roaches and lucky for us the weather was glorious in October! Mrs Reaney was very friendly and showed us round - bottles of wine and the chocolates were a nice welcome touch. Loung/living area was lovely and we made use of the real fire and logs supplied. Only suggestion I would make is to have a signpost on entrance. I would definately recommend this and hopefully will be back one day! Keep up the good work."
