    About this property

This is a delightful terraced cottage conveniently placed in the heart of the wonderful Longnor in the Derbyshire. With its great central location and high quality internal features, Blackberry Cottage is the perfect place for couples or friends to experience this charming village and all that surrounds it. Step into this stone-built cottage and be instantly greeted by the warming living dining room with rustic flagstone flooring, comfortable seating for 3 and a TV combining to make a fabulous relaxing spot for you and your loved ones. A traditional low doorway and step down leads you into the compact, well-presented kitchen with beech block worktops. This Peak District property is set across three floors, the first floor is made up of a stylish shower room and a cosy double bedroom with a fantastic feature fireplace to top it off. The second floor bedroom is perhaps the pick of the bunch with its rustic exposed wooden beams and splendid views across the nearby countryside, what better sight to wake up to? Outside is a shared courtyard with seating from where wonderful views can be admired. Longnor is the perfect place for a quiet countryside break, with walks and cycle rides on the doorstep, along with its pretty stone buildings and quaint little shops and cafés, making it a real gem. From here you have access to the breathtaking Peak District and all it has to offer, the towns of Bakewell and Buxton are short drives away and are certainly worth visiting with their shops, architecture, museums and parks. Come and stay at Blackberry Cottage if a peaceful, rural break is for you.

The village of Longnor is situated in the Peak District National Park and offers several shops, a Post Office, tea shop, a craft centre and a church. The market square is cobbled and a scale of market charges is still posted on a board outside the market hall. Close by is Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, the Spa town of Buxton, the market town of Bakewell and Alton Towers theme park.

    Mr Garwood ‐ 1 Aug 2019
"Coffee shop in village does great breakfast"
    Mrs Hutchings ‐ 1 May 2019
" Although it was on three floors, this was not a problem. The top bedroom was lovely and the bed extremely comfortable. And although the kitchen and bathroom were a tiny bit bijou, they were absolutely adequate. Perhaps a shower caddy would have been helpful for shampoos etc. but couldn't find fault with anything significant. We felt very at home there. Thankyou. "
    Mrs Santamarua ‐ 1 Apr 2019
" It was beautifully clean and looked recently refurbished. Beds were oh so comfy. Kitchen is small, but we planned our cooking around this and ate in most nights. We had a lovely stay. Thank you. "
    Mrs Bestwick ‐ 1 Dec 2018
"The kitchen is extremely small with room for only one person but that suited me and it had everything you would need - don't expect to do any washing because there is no washing machine. I wasn't fond of the floor in the lounge but that is all a matter of personal taste, the little mat that was down looked a bit tired. I thought it looked a little scruffy. The bedrooms and bathroom however were wonderful and the beds were really comfortable. Please be aware that if you are taking a dog ..."

This is accessed through a passage at the side of the cottage. It has no grass but there is access into a field. "

"Within walking distance of local pub which sold good food and the village also had a convenience store which opened at 7am."
    Mrs Edmondson ‐ 1 Jul 2018
"The cottage was much smaller overall than expected and my husband is 6ft 3 and had to stoop to fit through doorways and stairs and kept hitting his head! I think you would find it extremely hard to fit four adults in the cottage as marketed. The lounge was chilly even in July warmth due to the front door being a traditional wood door with small holes."
    Mrs Lord ‐ 1 May 2018
"It has been decorated and furnished beautifully. It’s very tiny (was perfect for the 2 of us but not sure how it would work for 4 adults). We would happily stay here again."
    Mrs Knight ‐ 1 May 2018
"A lovely comfortable cottage it was perfect for two and a dog."
    Mr Pratt ‐ 1 Apr 2018
"The kitchen is tiny but perfectly functional. Parking outside was never any problem in April, might get busy in the summer. Longnor is well placed for visiting all parts of the Peak District, and has good local amenities, two shops, a fish and chip shop and a pub."
    Mr Jungman ‐ 1 Apr 2018
"Thank you for arranging for a great holiday in a lovely property. It was very tastefully decorated and well equipped with the necessary kitchen supplies. We found the bed in the top floor bedroom very comfortable. Entry and departure was a breeze, and the village is nice for a stroll. A few minor suggestions to include in the information for the posting: 1. Mention that there is a cafetiere coffee maker available...we would have brought coffee from home to use in it had we known. 2. Mention that the top floor bedroom does not have a separate door."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Blackberry Cottage and the village of Lognor, and would certainly consider the property again if we travel to the area. - Mr Jezierski, May 2018
"This was a perfect location for us to explore, facilities nearby were adequate for us and only a short drive to Buxton for anything else."
    - Mrs Knight, May 2018
"It should be made clearer that the shared outside area is only accessible via a shared path as there isn't a back door. A lovely comfortable cottage it was perfect for two and a dog."
