Snaptrip says

Willow Cottage in the Peak District offers a peaceful and picturesque setting for a holiday. Guests have praised the property's cleanliness, cosy atmosphere, and the friendly and helpful owner. While some guests encountered issues with facilities and maintenance, the overall experience was enhanced by the beautiful surroundings and the addition of a hot tub. The property's remote location provides a tranquil retreat, though some found it a bit too secluded.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests found the cottage to be very clean and cosy, contributing to a comfortable stay. However, a few guests mentioned issues with cleanliness such as dirty plates, which slightly affected the overall impression.

The location is generally appreciated for its tranquillity and proximity to nature, with plenty of walking opportunities. Some guests, however, found it too remote, with a notable distance to the nearest pub and shops.

Guests have described the cottage as comfortable, particularly highlighting the cosy atmosphere and the comfortable bed. There were some comments about worn furniture and a lack of cupboard space, which suggests room for improvement.

While the inclusion of a hot tub was well-received, guests reported several issues with facilities, including problems with the oven, insufficient kitchen equipment, and unreliable internet. Maintenance concerns were noted, affecting the overall functionality of the cottage.

There are mentions of the owner being helpful and providing homemade cakes and milk, which guests appreciated. However, as these gifts are not consistently referenced across the reviews, it cannot be guaranteed that such gestures are a standard offering for all stays.

When you see picture No.1 and you read the description you are led to believe that you can park next to the steps, not about 25 yards down a steep driveway. The summary says "Front patio with furniture and private hot tub", the garden furniture is not the same as the picture shows it is cast iron, not a wooden set and the hot tub is not on the patio. In the filters I always tick enclosed garden and in the features for this cottage it says garden/patio. Now the picture of the hot tub at the end of the lawn is what sold us this cottage only to find when we get there that the lawn is a private garden not the one for the cottage, as there isn't one and the view out of the hot tub is marred by a chain with a private property notice and it is very overgrown. It is therefore not the romantic setting that it portrays. The kitchen table does not have four comfy red chairs it has three hard white chairs and the wardrobe in the bedroom has a shelf at the bottom which makes it not deep enough to hang any resonably length dresses in. Lastly there was no key for the conservatory so no shoes etc could be left in there and there were no open countryside views as the surrounding trees blocked most of it out.

The cottage was lovely and we liked all the Xmas lights around the place. The only thing we did have problem with was the oven. We got it to turn on and get a bit warm but it would not get hot even with the thermostat turned right up It was a bit better when we had the oven and grill on but still did not cook our meal. In the end we used the microwave. I think it needs looking at. Other than that it was super. Thank you. Rob & Sally

I was apprehensive before going after reading some of the reviews. This cottage is located in a beautiful setting. The track leading up to the cottage is not that bad if you take at slow speed however, this is advertised. Parking is great with a very short walk up to the cottage. The staff are very friendly and we’re very helpful during our stay. The cottage inside is very well equipped and has everything you could need during a stay. The only thing I would say is that the towels could do with being replaced and the sofa in the living room is a little worn lacking padding. Everything else was amazing and wee had a lovely stay over new year.
