Snaptrip says

The Rumblings 1 is a well-received cottage, praised for its proximity to the Peak District, comfortable beds, and welcoming touches from the owners. Guests enjoyed the local scenery, cosy wood burner, and the convenience of on-site parking. While some noted the cottage's compact size and occasional maintenance issues, the overall sentiment is positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Most guests found the cottage to be very clean, with only a few mentioning issues such as a log burner needing cleaning and floor cleanliness. The positive remarks on cleanliness from several reviews suggest a high standard is typically maintained.

The location is frequently praised for its beauty and proximity to walking paths and the Peak District. However, some guests mentioned noise from a nearby road and lack of a private garden, slightly impacting the score.

Guests generally found the beds comfortable and the cottage cosy, especially with the wood burner. However, some noted the cottage's size and creaking floorboards as detractors from overall comfort.

While the cottage is described as well-equipped, there are mixed reviews about the maintenance of facilities, such as the small TV and the lack of a garden. Due to the lack of consistent information across reviews, a definitive score cannot be provided.

Many guests appreciated the thoughtful touches like a welcome pack with wine and snacks. It's important to note that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed and may vary.

The cottage was really well laid out as a comfortable, social space. As mentioned in the ad, we brought our own firelighters, kindling and logs and were able to have a lovely fire to make the downstairs a wonderful place. Oh and we were welcomed with some biscuits and a bottle of wine…which was a nice surprise! The owners were just round the corner if you need them, but were not intrusive. Loved the beautiful location as well. Great little cottage on the edge of the Peak District!

There was no starter pack for the log burner and it wasn't ready to use. The downstairs was very cold due to drafts from doors etc. The TV was so small there was no chance of watching it unless you sat next to it. The floor was filthy and cold to walk on due to no carpeting. No heating in the bathroom. Only the double bed had bedding so if we didn't wish to sleep together the other single beds were unusable. The pillows on the single beds had no protectors on them and they were sweat stained. There is only two small bedside tables and a cupboard it the main bedroom so no draws. This property is not pet friendly. The way the photo has been taken makes it look as though there is a wide space out side this isn't so. You closely overlooked. There wasn't a useful information pack in the property.
