From here you can walk into the awe-inspiring Peak District National Park, as well as charming towns and villages and the stately homes of Haddon Hall and Chatsworth House. The market town of Bakewell is easily accessible as is the spa town of Matlock.

Could do with better TV's in this day and age. Didn't have correct remote control to work down stairs and the one in the bedroom didn't work at all. Showers were not good but having said this we had a lovely stay and the cottage was very clean and comfortable.

The kitchen failed to have basic equipment such as a bottle opener! The electric shower did not get hot. The check in process did not go smoothly, firstly we did not have the correct code for the lock box, the reception then gave us a different code only to find that the key wasnât even in the box!!! Luckily we arrived we reception was open!
