Opposite the cottage is a footpath which leads straight into Matlock Bath, the Heights of Abraham cable car and the local railway station. Matlock Bath provides something to suit everyone, with its great selection of shops, pubs and cafes as well as a host of attractions including Gulliver’s Kingdom and the Peak District Mining Museum. Also at Matlock Bath is the starting point for the cable car which takes you to the Heights of Abraham, giving magnificent views down the gorge of the River Derwent. Just a short drive away is the lovely market town of Bakewell and Chatsworth House and park, making Rose Cottage an ideal place for a holiday at any time of the year.
