About this property

A detached stone-built cottage with all of the accommodation on the ground floor. The property is close to the owners' farmhouse, on a working hill farm, and has a pleasant sunny aspect with lovely open views. The farm is approached by a lane and is situated in the peaceful, idyllic and rural hamlet of Ollerbrook just 10 minutes' walk from Edale village. The property has been skilfully created from the conversion of an old barn and makes a cosy retreat at any time of the year.

Within the Peak District National Park and nestled at the foot of Kinder Scout is the pretty High Peak village of Edale. With two pubs - both of which serve food - a village post office and general store as well as a Moorland Visitors Centre, this charming little town provides a variety of local amenities. In addition there is also a railway station close by, offering easy access to larger towns in the area and throughout the country. As the start of the famous Pennine Way, Edale offers a huge variety of walking routes for people of all abilities. Not far from this charming village are the popular blue-John caves and the lovely town of Castleton. For more specialised shops and a wider variety of restaurants, the spa town of Buxton is well worth visiting and is within easy driving distance.

The location is perfect for exploring the hills and then retreating back to at the end of a long day's walking. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We can't wait to come back!

Also a 10 minute walk across the fields to get to the pub in Edale. The farm location was very quiet with only the sound of the sheep, and the views were fabulous. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We hope to return.
