    About this property

This property is ideal for a large family or a group of friends as it can provide sleeping arrangements for up to twelve people in two family rooms, one twin room and a double.

15 miles from the market town of Buxton is this traditional detached farmhouse on the outskirts of the historical town of New Mills, overlooking the High Peak. This is an incredibly snug cottage with an Aga installed in the fitted kitchen and a wood burning stove in the sitting room. There are also spectacular views across the surrounding countryside and a variety of activities and local amenities available from the doorstep.
Four bedrooms: 1 x family room with double bed, single bed and stacker bed, 1 x double, 1 x twin with en-suite (shower, basin and WC), 1 x family room with double bed, single bed and stacker bed with shared access to en-suite with twin room. Bathroom with bath with shower over, basin and WC. Fitted kitchen with AGA. Sitting room with woodburner. Snug with serving hatch to the kitchen and gas fire. Conservatory with dining area. Utility room.
Situated on the borders of North West Derbyshire and Cheshire is the small town of New Mills, forming part of the Derbyshire Peak District. Although the settlement dates back to the 13th Century, the late 20th Century saw the Torrs Riverside Park – often called 'the park under the town' - come into being as a place for recreation and relaxation. To promote tourism in the area, the New Mills Heritage Centre was opened and visitors can enjoy this as well as The Torrs Millennium Walkway, a much-admired bridge set deep within the gorge. Just five miles away is Chapel en le Frith - the Capital of the Peaks – that boasts a cobbled market place complete with historic old stocks. The spa town of Buxton is within easy driving distance and is famous not only for its therapeutic spring water but also for its Pavillion Gardens and splendid Victorian Opera House.
The ultimate in "year-round" appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales.

    Mr Giles, Worcester, Worcestershire
"Warm and comfortable accommodation, and outstanding location."
    Mrs Allan, Stockport, Greater Manchester
"The view was amazing! and the conservatory was where we spent most of our time. It was very roomy and had a great shower."
    Mrs Coates, Benfleet, Essex
"I particularly liked being under the same roof as several family members all up north for a wedding. The cottage was warm, comfortable, homely, roomy, affordable and the dog was allowed to come as well. The owner was friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome, more like guests than clients. It was always a pleasure to return to the cottage each day after our touristy excursion."
    Ms Gundry, Loughborough, Leicestershire
"Brow Farm was an excellent property. There was 12 of us in total and there was ample room. We arrived to a roaring log fire, excellent greeting."
