Situated in Buxton itself is the Victorian botanical gardens of The Pavilion Gardens, the limestone caves of Poole's Cavern offering plenty of hiking trails, a park and picnic area. Also nearby is Buxton Museum and Art Gallery, Go Ape adventure park with thrilling zip wires and other outdoor activities.
