Rowan Cottage is a super cottage in a quiet little lane just a stroll from the centre of picturesque Tideswell. It offers really comfortable accommodation with its leather clad sofas and glowing stove in the lounge, well fitted and equipped kitchen, two lovely bedrooms and a super bathroom with bath and separate shower.

There are few better villages than Tideswell with its jumbles of cottages, proper village shops, cafes, restaurants, three pubs and even two chippies! The beautiful Peak District is all around and wonderful walks radiate right from the cottage door. Stroll out across the Peaks to see big skies and fantastic landscapes stretching as far as your eyes can see. Wander down Tideswell Dale to Monsal Dale and you will just be overwhelmed by the reflections in the river and the total peace and tranquility of the valley. 

This is the very heart of the Peak District with its world famous scenery, yet you might be tempted to visit lots of the other local attractions. Buxton with its magnificent Opera House is great. Castleton with its Blue John caverns is unique. Chatsworth House and gardens and nearby Haddon Hall are just amazing. Mellow Bakewell with its famous market is just as close.

Cottage facilities:

An entrance porch for coats and boots. A very comfortable lounge with  leather sofas, adjoining dining table and chairs, glowing coal effect gas fire, T.V., DVD, Freeview and WiFi. A well fitted and equipped kitchen with cooker, microwave, fridge, automatic washer and tumble dryer. An attractive double bedroom. A similar twin bedroom.  A modern bathroom with bath, separate shower and W.C.

Linen and towels are provided. Central heating, fuel and power are included. A cot and high chair can be requested. There is a sunny rear garden with furniture. Parking is on the quiet lane outside. Pets are welcome by arrangement. Smoking in the cottage is not permitted. Access for people with disabilities may be difficult.

Week bookings are normally Friday to Friday but short breaks Friday/Monday and Monday/Friday are available throughout the year excluding Xmas and New Year.
