Kilkenny Cottage is a real gem of a little cottage! As soon as you walk through the door and see the beautiful decoration and furnishings you will realize this is a very special place. Sumptuous sofas, bespoke kitchen, lovely bedrooms with crisp linen and fluffy towels, an ultra modern shower room and a glowing log burning stove say it all.

Set in a quiet lane on the edge of picturesque Tideswell its location is equally good. It's just a short stroll into the centre of the village with its range of local stores, tea rooms, fish and chip shops and three great pubs. Walks radiate in all directions, out across the Peaks where the views are fantastic or along leafy Millers Dale where the river Wye sparkles and splashes its way down the valley.

This is the very heart of the Peak District with its magnificent countryside, yet you will be tempted by lots of other attractions. Buxton with its famous Opera House and shopping. Castleton with its Blue John caverns and cafes. Have a picnic at Great Hucklow and watch the paragliders floating by. Chatsworth with its amazing house and gardens and Bakewell, famed for its puddings, are just as close.

Cottage facilities:

An entrance porch. A beautiful lounge with exposed stone wall, slate floor, quality Laura Ashley sofas, glowing log burning stove, T.V., DVD, Freeview and WiFi. A dining area under the stairs with table and chairs. A superb kitchen with bespoke units, hardwood surfaces, halogen hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and automatic washer/dryer. A lovely landing, with table and arm chair, opening out on to the rear garden.. A really stylish double bedroom with crisp linen and fluffy towels. A second bedroom of the same high quality with a three quarter bed. An ultra modern shower room with shower and W.C.

Linen and towels are provided. Central heating, power and an initial supply of fuel for the stove are included. There is a sunny rear garden with furniture backing onto open fields. Parking for one car is available on the very quiet lane right outside the cottage and there are lots of other spaces on the surrounding lanes. Pets and smoking are not permitted. The cottage is not suitable for babies because there is no space for a cot. Access for people with disabilities may be difficult. Bookings are from Friday to Friday.

Short breaks are available throughout the year (excluding Xmas & New Year).
