    The location of this semi-detached cottage is perfect for families wanting to walk, play and picnic, and ideal for lovers of the great outdoors.
    Everton is a spacious, stone-built, semi-detached cottage, just a short walk from Bakewell town centre, within the heart of the Peak District National Park, located directly opposite the Bakewell recreation ground. Bakewell itself is an attractive market town with a good selection of shops, restaurants and pubs, as well as a popular local farmers market. The historic stately homes of Chatsworth House and Estate and medieval Haddon Hall can be reached in around 10 minutes, and the traffic free Monsal Trail, ideal for walking and horse riding, starts in Bakewell and will take you to just outside Buxton. The beautiful Hope Valley, Matlock, with its cable car to the Heights of Abraham, and Ashbourne can all be reached in under half an hour. Shops and restaurants ½ mile, pub 200 yards.

    "Nice spacious house for holiday let. Clean, though there was an overpowering smell of bleach in the conservatory/kitchen area. Very pleasant sitting room with view of the park. Two of the bedrooms have en suites which is great and the beds were very comfy. The proximity of the park is very handy for dogs, especially as there is no garden. The lack of garden would make this house a non starter in the summer, but it was great for the autumn time when we stayed. There is a garage shop next door which is very handy for essentials and a pub doing lovely food just 5 mins walk away. Bakewell is a quaint little place with some nice shops."

    "Beautifully decorated and furnished, exceptionally well equipped, a real home from home. The location is excellent with a park opposite which is great if your party includes children or dogs and the centre of Bakewell is only a five minute stroll away. The welcome pack which was inclusive of a chilled bottle of wine was very much appreciated. I would definitely recommend Everton Cottage."

    "Very enjoyable stay at Everton, we have visited and stayed in Bakewell some 20 times, the house is warm and comfortable and we will certainly return. A small constructive suggestion is that the TV be made more user friendly. 88"

    "Fabulous weekend away. Everton is a lovely house and very well equipped. We were visiting the area for a cycling weekend. Three couples - we chose the house because of the location and the fact there were 3 upstairs bathrooms. There are plenty of cycle routes in the area and we did a lovely walk from the house to chatsworth. Being on the edge of town meant you were close to all pubs and restaurants in the evening too. Thoroughly recommend it"

    "Family reunion from three diverse localities to celebrate a milestone birthday.House and location proved to be ideal with everything we needed in excellent order.5 mins from Bakewell, an attractive, busy Peak town central for so many places to see and the park opposite is very pleasant both for sitting, walking and playing in. Parking for 3 cars is a bonus too. The A6 is busy but not noticeable. Controlled crossing right outside."

    "There were 6 of us (+1 dog) staying at Everton and we found the property to be spacious with plenty of room for all of us. The whole house was lovely and everything was fresh and modern. The downstairs was all hard floors so perfect for a dog. The kitchen was amazing! It was super large with plenty of storage space (2 fridges!) plus well equipped with everything you could need. We found we were able to prepare a large range of meals with all the equipment and extras provided. The bedrooms were all very nice, beds were comfortable and the bathroom facilities we clean and worked well. Liked the fact there was hand soap provided in the bathrooms as well as the kitchen. Private parking on site was a bonus and the location was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."
