Bloomfield House is a real find. A spacious apartment that offers lots of comfortable accommodation in the lovely country town of Bakewell. Located above the Bakewell Tart Shop it is just a stone's throw from the town's award-winning Monday market and all the shops, pubs, restaurants and attractive riverside walk. 

Wander through the town to browse all the clothes, antique and country-style and outward bound shops. Have lunch in one of the numerous cafes or pubs or perhaps just takeaway fish and chips. We always seem to end up sharing our Bakewell Tart with the ducks, as we sit by the river watching the world go by, before spotting the bistro menus ready for a delicious evening meal.

With many of Derbyshire's holiday attractions so close to Bakewell you ought to plan a trip or two to the quieter parts of the Peak. Marvel at the well-dressings in villages like Tideswell, spot the 'lady in the lake' in Howden Dam or wonder if you can really believe your eyes as you look out from Froggatt Edge over the waves of Peak District hills. Don't forget that Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and lots of other attractions are just a few minutes' drive away.

House facilities:

A spacious first floor lounge with comfortable suite, T.V., DVD, Freeview and WiFi. An adjoining dining area with oak table and chairs. A well fitted kitchen with cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer and automatic washer. A spacious first floor double bedroom with king-size bed and T.V. A family bathroom with bath, separate shower and W.C. A large second floor family bedroom with double and single beds and T.V. A further second floor double bedroom with T.V. and en-suite shower room with W.C.

Linen and towels are provided. Storage heating and power are included. A cot and high chair can be requested. Secure parking for one car is available 200 yds from the house. Pets and smoking are not permitted. Access for people with disabilities may be difficult.

Weekly bookings are normally Friday to Friday but short breaks are available throughout the year excluding Xmas and New Year.
