Sherwood Castle Holiday Forest is part of our Wanderwood Lodge Holidays Collection, in the heart of beautiful Robin Hood Country in arguably the most famous forest in England. Nestling in 40 acres of woodland these lovely lodges create a fabulous base for lovers of the great outdoors while enjoying one of Britain’s most enchanting areas.
The park provides a magical base for couples and friends, and an excellent choice for a family break at any time of year.
On-site, the park provides a wide variety of activities for all ages and tastes including woodland trails, outdoor activities and archery Robin Hood style, an animal corner, bug hotel and bird feeding viewing wall, as well as swimming pool. Whilst off-site there is a huge range of places to visit many on the doorstep including the fabulous brand new rspb Visitor Centre in Sherwood Forest just 3 miles away, and the beautiful Rufford Abbey Country Park a short stroll away.
Due to steep gradients and steps, Sherwood Castle Holiday Forest is not suitable for wheelchair users or persons with mobility difficulties.

A great place to visit , clean comfortable warm and excellent staff .I couldnt find my glasses on checkout .The cleaning team had a search for me and promptly sent then over to reception. Thank you !

A basic but charming getaway planned in the thick of lockdown. A great opportunity to have the whole family together but with their own space in their own lodges. Staff were very helpful and lodge was clean, warm and plenty of hot water

Could do with some updating with the lodges & beds very uncomfortable this time! Very homely though. Pool hire by the half hour which is much better as pool quite small for too many people.
