The property was really lovely and decorated for Christmas which we appreciated.

Great views, comfortable beds, great kitchen and eating area and cosy lounge. Susan and Keith gave all information needed and we're on hand if we needed them, we didn't but we knew we could. We were well based for our days out and enjoyed ourselves very much.

The area is fantastic, the highlight was a visit to Vindolanda which is well worth it. I'd have to agree with previous comments about one of the beds being uncomfortable, like there are springs sticking up and you have to move about to get the right spot. Probably also worth mentioning that the Samson Inn is closed down, at least temporarily. Overall a highly recommended stay and will likely be booking again.
