Beach Plaice is a great property in the perfect spot - Seahouses is just a short walk away for local amenities and you have membership of the Ocean Club with its 20m pool, spa and fitness suites. This family friendly holiday home has four bedrooms sleeping eight guests, a lovely kitchen, comfortable living space and dining room with French doors onto the garden. There’s even a children’s play room kitted out with games, toys and a TV with Netflix. Beach Plaice has been awarded 4* Gold rating by VisitEngland and it’s just a five minute walk from the the harbour and the shops, cafes, restaurants and supermarket.
This really is a great base for exploring this beautiful area - visit the Farne Islands to observe the seabirds and the colony of Grey Seals. 3 miles north is the impressive Bamburgh Castle which clings to a rocky outcrop, and it’s just 5 miles to Holy Island and Lindisfarne (accessible at low tide along the causeway). Just south of Seahouses is Beadnell Bay with its unique west facing harbour for sailing, windsurfing and scuba diving. Good golfing (0,.5 miles), fishing and horse riding available locally.

Welcome toiletries: Toilet rolls, shampoo, shower gel - eco friendly products. Ocean Club Membership (charges apply) Fitness Suite, 20m pool, spa, and also free entry to Health & Beauty area (appointments required charges apply see treatment menu on site), and Coffee Shop.
Pets: 2 non-shedding well behaved dogs welcome. Dog crate, plastic dog bed and dog duvet available. @ £25.00 per dog per week or part thereof. Pets should not be left unattended in the property or allowed on the furniture.
Please note: Beach Plaice offers its guests access to the members-only facility at the Seafield Ocean Club including its 20m pool, spa, a fitness facility in addition to the public areas of the Coffee Shop and Bistro, and Health and Beauty treatments. An entrance fee payable per visit.

Lovely holiday house well maintained and very clean.Large lawn area at the back of the house ideal for children where they can play with the many outdoor toys provided. Very close to the beach and town centre. Would stay there again.

Excellent clean and comfortable property with high standards of equipment. Plenty of space including the en-suites for the bedrooms. Fixtures and fittings modern and kitchen was well equipped with large fridge/freezer. Good parking on front drive and enclosed rear garden with patio and views to open fields. Only minutes walk to sandy beach that stretches for miles towards Bamburgh. The sandy beach and sea is excellent water quality with no plastic or debris to be seen. Seahouses is around 5 minutes walk to harbour and shops/takeaways etc..We stayed mid May just after Covid restrictions were eased so area was not to busy and roads quiet. Overall lovely holiday and would recommend.

Beach Plaice is such a modern, clean, spacious, convenient, simply excellent family holiday home in all respects. Although it does not directly face the sea / beach / Islands (being set behind a row of sea-facing houses) it does have a clear view of the sea from the kitchen window. There is ample driveway parking at the front of the house and a very pleasant garden area with outdoor seating provided at the rear, facing onto fields and further countryside, which can all be viewed for a long distance and without obstruction from the upstairs bedroom windows. The house is within fairly short walking distance of the beach, and just a little further for the shops and harbour (both are within ten minutes) and I would certainly have no hesitation in recommending the property for a peaceful, enjoyable, restful Northumberland holiday. I would add that I have found Stay Northumbria Northumberland Cottages to be a very professional and extremely helpful company to deal with throughout my holiday planning and preparations for arrival etc.
