    Explore both coast and countryside from this property, with the beautiful Heritage Coast and the Northumberland National Park both within easy reach.
    Millside is set in the centre of the pretty, historic market town of Morpeth, close to the river and just behind the high street. This semi-detached house is ideally located to enjoy the many cafes, restaurants and pubs practically on your doorstep, whilst leaving your cars in the private parking area in front of the property. Morpeth is a lively historic town with some excellent eateries and bespoke shops, and a weekly market held in the market square. The Chantry houses the excellent Bagpipe Museum, tourist information and unique craft stalls. Boats can be hired to row along the pretty river which runs through the town, or take a gentle river walk.
    Only a short drive is the Heritage Coast where miles of golden beaches and friendly villages appeal to all ages. Stop off at Craster for famous kippers, drop into Bamburgh Castle and carry on a little further to Holy Island. The nearby train station is perfect to take you to Newcastle, Durham, Edinburgh or York should you wish to explore further. All of these fantastic cities are worth a visit whilst staying in Northumberland. This is a fantastic, central location to explore the many delights of what is reputedly the friendliest county in England. Easy road access for Hadrian’s Wall, the Heritage Coast and the Northumberland National Park. Newcastle, 15 miles, Alnwick Castle, 20 miles, Hadrian’s Wall (Vindolanda), 37 miles, and Kielder Water, 45 miles. Beach 8 miles. Shop 250 yards, pub and restaurant 175 yards.

    "Although I read in other reviews that Millside is a quiet place, We would like to remark that the supplying of the shops in the morning is quite noisy. Millside is located just behind Bridge Street and is opposite parking spots for the centre. This said: we had a very nice and pleasant stay in Morpeth. The (big) house has 3 bedrooms and is very wel furnished and equiped. The location is five footsteps from the center and close to the busstation. The trainstation is within 10 minutes walk. We travelled in Northumberland by bus and train and that went very well. Morpeth is a nice market town with enought restaurants and shops. The people are very, very nice! We are sure to come back!"

    "Brilliant town house, well equipped with everything you would need for a perfect stay ! basically located in Morpeth town centre, but no noise what so ever! - really couldn't have asked for better! - we were even greeted with a bottle of wine and a pack of biccys which we though was a lovely touch ! - Had a take away one night from Urdon Thai that was recommended in the cottage information - amazing food. Would highly recommend this house and would definitely return"

    "Fantastic well equipped house in centre of Morpeth, yet very quiet. Beautiful little suntrap garden ... not too far from lots of interesting local castles etc. People so very friendly and proud of their history ... rightly so. Would definately return ... a Gem of a house"

Very comfortable,spacious and quiet, yet only a minute from town centre.Location ideal as base for touring by car around Northumberland, and also close to Newcastle(only 30mins by bus which run every 15 mins).Millside had everything we wanted to make an enjoyable holiday- a lucky find by us via the internet."

    "Morpeth is a wonderful base to explore the area by car or public transport.Morpeth town centre, beautiful river walks and parkland within a very short walk of cottage. Good local restaurants and cafes.With a little planning, the very good bus links allow for a day out to Newcastle or surrounding villages ( eg. Alnwick Castle and gardens). The rail station is on the outskirts of the village and schedules allow for day trip to Edinburgh."
