About this property

This mid-terrace cottage offers first-class accommodation throughout. The kitchen is modern and contemporary and there is a dining area complete with large dining table with character church pew for seating on one side. The comfortable sitting room has a warming open fire to relax in front of with views of the coast. Upstairs there is a family room and a double bedroom as well as a modern bathroom. Outside there is a lawned garden area which offers space to relax.

The picturesque Northumberland village of Belford lies in the heart of Heritage countryside, midway between the popular walled towns of Alnwick and Berwick-upon-Tweed. The pretty coastal village of Bamburgh, with its sweeping beaches and dramatic castle, is only a short drive away. Belford itself is an old coaching village with a pleasant square and offers a variety of shops, pubs, restaurants and a nine-hole golf course. It is ideally placed for exploring the Cheviots, the renowned Northumberland Coastline and the Scottish Borders.

Only slight gripe is the absence of a garden umbrella - it was very hot in the September sun!

The cottage is well positioned, quiet (despite being on a road), near good eateries (The Barn at Beal and the Blue Bell), easy access to the coast with a !ovely distant view of the sea. It is characterful and comfortable.. There have been some previous review comments about cleanliness. We found it clean in all the essentials but it is time for a good spring clean and some sprucing up. When we had an issue with internet access (BT) the owner was very helpful and sorted thngs promptly. Overall a very pleasurable stay.

Perfect location for exploring local beaches as well as Berwick and Alnwick. Enclosed garden was great for the dog. One thing lacking was anywhere to hang wet beach things. No washing line or clothes airer made it difficult to dry towels and swim things.
