Northumberland is steeped in history with many imposing castles to explore including Alnwick Castle (20 miles) made famous by the Harry Potter movies and the striking Bamburgh Castle built high on a rocky outcrop. Discover the Heritage Coast, the Scottish Borders and walk in the Cheviot Hills… great for bird watching!
