The location is frequently highlighted as stunning and peaceful, ideal for walks and exploring Northumberland. Proximity to Bellingham for supplies and the lack of light pollution for stargazing are noted advantages.

This property is not for the faint-hearted, it is an old converted coach house and is COLD. There is an open fire and enough logs provided for a couple of hours heat, after that you are expected to pay for any subsequent wood you use, even though there is a massive pile directly opposite the property. Listed as sleeps six, very cramped if six guests visit, the kitchen is small and the bathroom is tiny and dated. The stairs are precarious and not at all suitable for young children. On a positive note, lovely quiet surroundings and a very comfy bed.

The cottage was very comfortable, especially the beds! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could need. Loved the family history and history of the property that is in the welcome book.
