Following complete renovation, this former station waiting room and ticket office which served the Hexham to Allendale railway, has been converted into lovely holiday accommodation. Station House is located on Allendale Caravan Park, a small private eco-park with a peaceful atmosphere.

The property is nicely furnished with open fireplace and stove in the living area, sofa, table and chairs and TV with Freeview and DVD. Kitchen appliances include microwave, electric oven, hob and dishwasher. The bedrooms are comfortably furnished with plenty of storage for your holiday wardrobe.

Allendale is just one mile away, a busy village in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which is renowned for the diverse birdlife it attracts. It’s also a great base for walking and cycling, with many footpaths easily accessible and the National Cycle Network routes criss crossing the region. Former mines have been replaced by museums - this used to be a very productive lead mining area and its well worth visiting The North of England Lead Mining Museum at Killhope. Another go to destination is the spectacular waterfall of High Force where the River Tees plunges straight down 70 feet, this is the highest single drop waterfall in England and Beamish and Hadrian's Wall are all a short drive. Walking, cycling, fishing all available locally.
