The stunning history of Northumberland is all waiting to be discovered just a short drive from your cottage, with stunning castles and endless beaches all within easy reach. This perfectly-located cottage is ideal for a countryside break close to the coastline. It is just 12 miles to the centre of the Holy Island of Lindesfarne. 7 miles from Seahouses harbour where you can catch a boat trip or a rib ride to see the amazing birdlife and seal colonies of the area (seasonal Puffins. Guillemots, Razorbills and more). The cottage is also equidistant to the historic towns of Alnwick and Berwick-upon-Tweed and an easy day trip to Newcastle (1 hour drive) and Edinburgh (40 mins by train from Berwick-upon Tweed).

The picturesque Northumberland village of Belford lies in the heart of Heritage countryside, midway between the popular walled towns of Alnwick and Berwick-upon-Tweed. Belford itself is an old coaching village with a pleasant square and offers a variety of shops, pubs, restaurants and a nine-hole golf course.
