The appealing village of Lowick is excellently placed for a holiday in the unspoiled region of Northumberland. The village has a store and two public houses and is only two miles from the village of Ford and the Etal estate, with its castle and craft shops. The Etal Estate offers activities such as fishing, cycling and a mini railway, making this an ideal day out for the whole family. There are eight golf courses within a 20-mile radius, and many other attractions including the border town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, Lindisfarne on the Holy Island and the spectacular Cheviot Hills. The impressive Alnwick Castle and Gardens and the beautiful vast sandy beaches of the Heritage Coast are all within an easy drive. Lowick is perfectly placed as holiday destination that can be enjoyed all year round.
