A delightful period property sitting in extensive private grounds on the edge of Beadnell, just a couple of minutes walk from the beach. The Old Vicarage is spacious and traditionally furnished with antiques passed down the owner’s family for generations. It offers exceptional holiday accommodation for eight guests in five bedrooms (5th bedroom opened for a £50 by prior arrangement). This fine detached residence sits in extensive gardens with an arboretum and enclosed courtyard with teak table and chairs.

Head to the beach at Beadnell Bay the long stretch of sand is perfect for a bucket and spade holiday. This is the Heritage coast, well known for excellent sailing, fishing and wind surfing. This is an excellent area for walking with many coastal walks taking in views of dramatic cliff top ruins including Dunstanburgh Castle. Beyond the Castle is Craster, a picturesque village famous for kippers and other smoked delicacies. A variety of seabirds and grey seal colonies can be observed on the Farne Islands by taking a boat trip from Seahouses, just 2 miles away.

Dining room: mahogany dining table and 8 chairs, mahogany sideboard and drinks cabinet.

Drawing room: Seating for everyone, large flat screen TV with Freeview and DVD player, piano. WiFi, open wood burning fire, bookcase, library of books, antique rug

Study: Leather sofas, 2 sitting chairs, Ottoman, mahogany butler’s secretaire with local information library, antique rug, small TV with Freeview and DVD.

First floor:

Master Bedroom: king size double bed, dressing table, chest of drawers, large wardrobe, bedside tables and lamps.

Bedroom 2: twin beds, bedside cabinets and lamps, dressing table, wardrobe, chairs.

Bedroom 3: double bed, dressing table, wardrobe, bedside tables and lamps, wash basin, side table, 2 chairs.

Bedroom 4: double bed, chest of drawers/table, wardrobe, 2 chairs, ensuite bathroom with bath over shower, wash basin, and WC, pine floor.

Family bathroom: bath with shower over, WC, wash basin.

Second family bathroom: bath with shower over, WC, bidet wash hand basin.

 

Second floor:

Bedroom 5: double iron bedstead bed (at an additional cost of £25 and must be pre-booked), drawers, bedside tables and lamps, wardrobe (fabric), stripped pine floor.

Games room: Stripped pine floor with velux window, mini tennis table, pool table, 2 small sofas, chair.

Entertainment: Wi-fi (due to size of house & stone walls - restricted coverage to Kitchen, lounge area), large flat screen TV, DVD player and piano (drawing room). TV with Freeview and DVD (study), radio/CD player (kitchen), bookcase and library of books, magazines and local information.

For families: ​travel cot, no mattress, linen or towels for infant supplied, high chair can be hired - please enquire at time of booking.

Outside: Property is surrounded by woodland and paddock, enclosed courtyard with large circular teak table and bench, barbeque, front garden and woodland arboretum. The front paddock is “out of bounds” as leased to a local farmer for grazing.

Parking: Parking for 4 cars.

General: WiFi (restricted coverage). Bedding (duvets per bed & 2 pillows per person), bed linen, towels (hand & bath sheet per person, plus bathroom hand towels). October-March initial supply of logs, kindling & matches. Oil for central heating and water.

Welcome pack: tea, coffee, sugar, milk and a sweet treat.

Pets: As of May 2023, dogs will no longer be accepted on new bookings. Current bookings with dogs will be honoured.

Please note: The property is NOT available to stag, hen or diving parties. No smoking. House price is for up to 8 people using the four 1st floor bedrooms. Use of attic bedroom must be registered on booking at a nominal charge of £50.00, but the maximum occupancy must not exceed 8 persons. Front paddock is leased to a local farmer for grazing stock. Due to the character of the building and the antiques on display, a £500 Accidental Damage Deposit or £50 Accidental Damage Deposit waiver is required.
