    Ideal seaside retreat for couples, cosy first floor apartment, within easy reach of Alnwick Castle, delightful gardens and tree house.
    Enjoying a pretty coastal village setting and just 500 yards from the sweeping sands of one of England’s finest beaches, these cottages are part of Town Farm Cottages which were created from a 17th century stable and coach house. An ideal holiday base, these attractive, cosy and comfortable properties, five of which we offer here, sit on a courtyard in the heart of Beadnell village, a popular venue for water sports enthusiasts and boasting a picturesque harbour as well as a shop and two pubs serving food – all within a few yards’ stroll. Two miles to the north, Seahouses offers a variety of shops and tea rooms, a leisure centre and superb golf course, and boats depart regularly from its working harbour for fishing trips or to visit the Farne Islands’ famous seal colonies and bird sanctuaries. A further 3 miles up the spectacular coastline, a deservedly recognised Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, lies Bamburgh – dominated by its splendid castle – whilst the causeway leading to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne is a little further. An easy 12 mile drive south reaches the market town of Alnwick with its castle, renowned as the film location for Hogwarts School and beside it, Alnwick Gardens, an exciting contemporary space featuring gloriously vivid planting, stunning water displays and one of the largest tree houses in the world. A wide variety of day trips from exploring the historic towns of the Scottish borders to shopping at Newcastle’s Metro Centre are also easily accessible.

    "Small functional apartment, which was ideal for two adults and our dog. Ready access to coastline and plenty of walking space. Northumberland readily accessible from Beadnel. Good base for touring.Quiet and peaceful location behind village church. Places to eat (and to enjoy a very good beer) close by. Very dog friendly location which was important to us.Recommended location. There are larger premises in the block."

    "Enjoyed our stay at Daisy. Liked the cottage and loved the area. Only drawback for us was the parking wasn’t very convenient and no immediate outside access; even taking the rubbish to the bins involved a 100yd plus walk!"

    "Lovely village, we really enjoyed the holiday. Flat was not the best, very creaky floor in kitchen and not very well sound proofed, could hear everything. Would definitely visit the area again."

    "Nice smallish flat lovely location good dog friendly pub very close by. Not so dog friendly cafe. Setee could do with updating. Take a torch for dark night's outside stairs tricky. Parking short walk from main door but ok. Overall ok accommodation lovely location short walk from beach."

    "Nice comfortable flat clean and tidy. The only problem was the shower as the water did not run away freely and was in danger of flooding into the bathroom. I had a look at it by taking the cover off the plug but could see no way of clearing it. It needs cleaning out."

    "Parking was an issue, had to walk a fair way to get to car park at the back of the row of cottages. Steps up to flat should have some sort of lighting outside and the gutter above the entrance leaked. The shower took a long time to drain so you had to watch the water level inside the shallow tray to make sure it didn't overflow.The areas around the door handles could do with a bit of a clean. I t would also be beneficial to have a bucket and some cleaning liquid in case of any spillages etc that may occur. The kitchen floor was sticky, I think this maybe down to the varnished surfaceProvision of a hand towel to use in kitchen and a spare bin liner. Also a note to say where to put your waste and in what colour bins for general/recycled waste.We loved Beadnell and will visit there again."
