Tastefully furnished, the cottage is ideally located for a family beach holiday in the summer or as a touring base for friends, all year round. It offers flexible sleeping arrangements with three welcoming bedrooms, one of which boasts charming sea views. There is also a family bathroom, where you can enjoy a relaxing soak after a day on your feet. The ground floor consists of a modern, well-equipped kitchen with a dining area, where you can sit and enjoy delicious home-cooked meals whilst planning tomorrow’s adventures! Relax in the comfortable sitting room, featuring a warming gas fire, or retire to the bright and airy conservatory, overlooking the rear garden and catch up on some reading. From the conservatory, doors lead out to a decked area, which provides the perfect spot for a refreshing drink on those warm summer evenings. Take the short stroll into the popular port of Amble, which has something that appeals to everyone, with its vibrant harbour hosting a wide variety of pubs, cafes and restaurants, right on the doorstep. Discover the pretty coastal villages of Alnmouth and Craster or visit picturesque Warkworth, just a mile away. Just a fifteen minute drive along unspoilt, scenic roads you can find Alnwick Castle and its impressive garden. This cottage truly is an ideal base for a relaxing holiday by the sea, as you uncover the delights of Northumberland.

The bustling little seaport of Amble is situated at the mouth of the River Coquet and is an ideal place for exploring Northumberland. Historically a centre for boatbuilding, Amble offers a marina, a harbour, sandy beaches and coastal walks to the bird sanctuary at Hauxley and country park at Druridge Bay. Large fishing boats moor along the harbour wall and land a variety of fish, prawns, crabs and lobsters - the daily catch can be bought at a fish shop in the harbour. A great base for exploring the Heritage Coast.

We liked it so much, we just had to come back! A real home from home with everything needed for a comfortable holiday. Excellent restaurants and shops within walking distance. Close to lots of wonderful beaches.

Tomeg is in a brilliant location with just a short walk to the beach and a pub and Co-op on the doorstep. The house is spacious and feels wonderfully light and airy. Access to the parking is quite tight but that had been well communicated beforehand. The house is a great base for exploring beautiful Northumberland

The house is clean, ideally placed (The Wellwood Arms, Masons Arms, many takeaways and shops are only a short walk away) and had everything we needed for a 2 week holiday. The rooms are of a nice size and I'm not quite sure about the noise warning as this was quieter than another place we have stayed in Amble! The conservatory is a nice addition (and a good place to dry the washing / swimming stuff). The smart TV was a pleasant surprise so you can log into your streaming channels for those quiet evenings in. The only real negative about the house is actually a positive. The parking out back is (very) tight for an estate car (we have a Toyota Corolla Tourer Sport) and it does take a bit of work to get it in and out. However, this is a positive in some ways as street parking is also at a premium in Amble and I would rather have it this way than not having a guaranteed spot. Finally, all communication with the owners was answered promptly and professionally and I can not find fault in anything about the house an owners. Thank you Petra, Katherine (and Moira) for letting us stay in your lovely house.
