The front entrance leads to a dining area with a staircase to the first floor, while the kitchen to the rear of the cottage has a sleek, modern feel, a great place to rustle up a tasty treat for all the party. The spacious sitting area makes a cosy retreat after a long hard day on the beach, whilst the warming multi-fuel stove is perfect to curl up in front of on chillier evenings. 2 Blackwood Street overlooks a grassy area which leads to the seashore, a great spot for kids to play or to take the dogs for that longed-for walk. The increasingly-popular port of Amble has something for everyone; discover the pretty coastal villages of Alnmouth and Craster, visit picturesque Warkworth just a mile away, or take in Alnwick Castle and its impressive garden, just a fifteen minute drive along unspoilt, scenic roads. A superb base for friends or family to gather for a holiday by the sea.

The bustling little seaport of Amble is situated at the mouth of the River Coquet and is an ideal place for exploring Northumberland. Amble offers a marina, a harbour, sandy beaches and coastal walks. Large fishing boats moor along the harbour wall and land a variety of fish, prawns, crabs and lobsters - the daily catch can be bought at a fish shop in the harbour. A mile south of Amble is Coquet Island, an rspb reserve with a large population of terns, puffins and eider ducks and boat trips around the island can be arranged. The pretty coastal villages of Alnmouth and Craster and numerous superb beaches are only a short drive away, whilst picturesque Warkworth with its castle, charming Alnwick with its castle and award winning gardens, and the National Trust's Wallington Hall and Cragside are all within easy reach.
